Kennel Club Pet InsurancePolicy Type: Lifetime Cover

Vet Fees Cover Limit: £7,500 or £15,000 per year to cover all conditions.

Maximum Age for New Policies: 7 years old

Excess and Contribution Rates

Vet Fees Benefits

Dental Costs: For treatment required as a result of accident or illness.
Prescription Food: Pay 50% of the  cost of a prescription diet up to a maximum of £250 per condition per year.
Euthanasia: Covered
Complementary Therapies: Provides £750 for complementary therapy (included in the vet fees limit) per condition per year.   This includes a maximum of 20 hydrotherapy sessions.
Behavioural Therapy: Will pay up to £750 (during your pet’s lifetime) for treatment of “a change to your pet’s normal behaviour caused by an emotional or mental disorder”.

Third Party Liability Cover

Third Party Liability: £3 million – No non-standard exclusions.

Additional Benefits

Death Benefit – Illnesses – Optional Pays purchase price of your pet (maximum £2,500).
Death Benefit – Accidents – Optional Pays purchase price of your pet (maximum £2,500).
Theft & Straying Benefit – Optional Pays purchase price of your pet (maximum £2,500).
Advertising & Reward -Included £1,500 (Includes up to £250 for a reward).
Boarding Fees – Optional £2,000 Pays the cost of a licensed boarding establishment or £5 per day towards the cost of someone looking after your pet.
Holiday cancellation – Optional £3,000 Covers cancellation/curtailment as a result of pet requiring immediate lifesaving treatment or surgery shortly before travel or whilst on holiday.

Travel Cover (Optional)

Limitations: 120 days per policy year. (Covers trips to any country which is a member of the PET travel scheme).

  1. Just to note that The Kennel Club do not cover Organ Transplants. I am not sure if this is standard amongst Pet Insurance Companies and I am sure organ transplants are rare but I hav e known dogs who have needed transplants and it is very expensive.
