Excess and Contribution Rates

Vet Fees Benefits

Dental Costs:  Covers dental costs for both accidents and illnesses
Prescription Food: Very limited cover. Only pays prescription food for treatment of bladder stones/urine crystals (40% for 6 months) or 5 days liquid hospital food.
Euthanasia: Cover up to £100
Complementary Therapies: £500 for physiotherapy and £500 for other complementary therapy (included in vet fees limit)
Behavioural Therapy:  £250 for treatment for “changes to your pet’s normal behaviour that is caused by a mental or emotional disorder which could not have been prevented by training and/or spaying/castration”

Third Party Liability Cover

Third Party Liability: £1 million per incident

Additional Benefits

Death Benefit – Illnesses – Optional as part of “loss cover”. Will pay the purchase price of your pet up to a maximum of £1,000 if your pet dies before their 9th birthday.
Death Benefit – Accidents – Optional as part of “loss cover”. Will pay the purchase price of your pet up to a maximum of £1,000.
Theft & Straying Benefit – Optional as part of “safe return cover”. Will pay the purchase price of your pet up to a maximum of £1,000.  
Advertising & Reward  – Optional as part of “safe return cover”.  £1,000
Boarding Fees – Optional as part of “safe return cover”.   Will pay up to £100 per week for your pet to stay in a licensed boarding establishment or for someone to look after your pet.  Maximum £1,000.
Holiday cancellation – Optional as part of “holiday cover”. Will pay up to £1,000 for cancellation/curtailment costs if your pet requires immediate life-saving treatment whilst you are away or shortly before you go, or your pet goes missing whilst you are away.  Only covers trips to EU countries.

Travel Cover

Limitations: Limited to 90 days travel per policy year. Only covers trips to EU countries (which are members of the PET travel scheme).
Vets Fees Abroad Included as standard in overall vet fees limit
Quarantine Fees Optional as part of “holiday cover” £1,000
Loss of Documents Cover Optional as part of “holiday cover” (included with quarantine fees)
Emergency Expenses Abroad – “Optional as part of holiday cover” £1,000 for “Emergency Repatriation Costs”
