Press Release: Puppy Love becomes Puppy Power as Pet Owner Launches Independent Pet Insurance Guid

Puppy Love becomes Puppy Power as Pet Owner Launches Independent Pet Insurance Guide

The UK is a nation of pet lovers, but we’re also pretty savvy when it comes to finding a good deal. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the time to research every single purchase. From home to car insurance, from electricity providers to pension solutions – the list is endless. Things are changing in the world of pet insurance. Frustrated with the amount of time and energy it was taking to find the right pet insurance policy for her dogs, pet owner Sally Hayward from Basingstoke, has developed a website to make it easier for pet owners to understand their options.

A more complex market than home or car insurance, pet insurance has many variables, benefits, exclusions and conditions. It can be almost impossible to understand what is not covered as insurance companies are not always as transparent as they could be. Sally discovered that she had to dig deep into the small print and terms and conditions of each policy to identify and understand the gaps in the policy cover.

Believing that doing the right thing and taking responsibility for your pets shouldn’t be such a laborious and tricky task, Sally has created The Pet Insurance Guide. The website,www.pet-insurance-guide.co.uk is an independent resource developed specifically to allow pet owners to get a better understanding of what types of policy exist and what best suits their needs. Sally has brought everything together for pet owners in one online location. For the first time they will be able to scrutinise each policy, with access to key strengths, major limitations, ratings, and links to customer reviews on other sites.

With no background in the world of insurance, Sally has been able to champion the consumer, ensuring that other pet owners like her, are able to make an informed decision about which policy is right for them.

“Getting pet insurance spot on can be very difficult. The consequences of discovering you don’t have the cover you thought you bought can be devastating – for both the pet and the owner. I have developed this free-to-use resource to help people like me better understand the pet insurance market place and put pet-owning consumers in a better position to make an informed choice when investing in pet insurance,” said Sally Hayward.

Sally’s great hope is that pet owners will use the Guide to check out policies before making their final decision. And Sally is not stopping there. Later, in 2015, will see the launch of The Pet Insurance Guide’s campaign for fairer pet insurance. Sally is looking forward to forging closer links with the industry in the attempt to make the task of choosing pet insurance more straightforward and less confusing for all pet owners.
